All agreements are made between ‘you’ and Light Blue Holdings Ltd, trading as Stride Cambridge

Payment

Payment is taken online or over the phone with debit or credit card or bank transfer.

Payment is taken in GBP. For bookings, more than 2 weeks in advance either full payment or a 30% deposit payment can be made to secure the booking. The balance payment is due 2 weeks before the booking date. For bookings, less than 2 weeks in advance full payment is taken to secure the booking.

Bookings

All bookings are subject to availability.

Stride Cambridge reserves the right to withdraw a product or package at any given time. In this case, any outstanding bookings will be given the choice of an alternative product or equal or higher value or a full refund.

All direct bookings are for a specific departure time. Late arrival will result in a missed tour.

Access

Punting Tours – Due to the historic nature of the river there is limited disabled access. Despite this we aim to accommodate disabled customers wherever possible. Please contact us to discuss the options further.

Walking Tours – Due to the historic nature of Cambridge City Centre some walking surfaces are uneven. The walking tour is suitable for people who are able to walk and stand for 90 minutes at a relaxed pace. The tour is also wheelchair accessible. Please contact us to discuss the options further.

Cancellations

Punting and walking Tours: Bookings cancelled more that 72 hours in advance are eligible to a 70% refund or can be rescheduled within the next 6 months free of charge. If only a deposit has been taken this will be retained. Bookings cancelled with less than 72 hours notice will not be refunded. Bookings can be re-scheduled for a charge of £15 up to 24 hours before the departure.

COVID-19 – If you or anyone in your household has COVID-19 symptoms or has been told to isolate DO NOT COME ON A STRIDE TOUR. Please alert us by 9am on the day of your booking and we will reschedule or refund your booking.

Late Arrival

You will not be eligible for a refund if you miss your tour due to late arrival.

Private Tours: Your punt with guide or walking tour guide is reserved for a specific time late arrival will result in a missed or reduced tour time. If you know you will be late please contact Stride Cambridge as soon as possible to let us know.

Shared Tours: Late arrival will result in a missed tour.

COVID-19 – As all tour times are prebooked late arrival will result in a missed tour. If you are unable to make your tour due to COVID-19 please contact as soon as possible.

Non-Appearance

If you fail to show up for your tour without letting us know no refund or rescheduling will be applicable.

Bad Weather

You cancel with at least 48 hours notice: Reschedule or refund minus a 30% non refundable deposit.

You cancel without providing notice or do not contact us: Payment is retained. If you wish to reschedule an additional 30% will need to be paid.

We cancel: Full refund for your punting tour. Food/drinks/extras: No refund. You will be able to collect these extras and take them away with you.

Safeguarding

All under 16’s must be accompanied by a parent or adult in the role of “loco parentis” to join a Stride Walking or Pnting tour.

Delivery

Online booking confirmation constitutes your ‘ticket’. Please print out your booking confirmation or be able to show it on a smartphone or tablet at check-in. Any purchases made by bank transfer or phone will be emailed a confirmation ‘ticket’. In the case of lost confirmations/tickets, these can be re-issued in advance of the tour date.

COVID-19

COVID-19 and Walking Tours

  • Walking tour maximum group size will be set according to government guidelines at the time of the tour.
  • From May 17th walking tour maximum numbers will be set at 20. You are no longer required to socially distance from close friends or family but should distance from other groups on the tour.
  • From June 21st it is planned that all social distancing measures will be removed.
  • Face masks are not required to be worn by staff or customers but you are very welcome to wear a face mask if you would like to.

COVID-19 and Punting Tours

  • Boat sides and cushions are cleaned between tours with D-10.
  • Hand sanitiser is available for all staff and customers. Whilst you are not required to wear a face mask you are very welcome to do so.
  • Shared punt tours are sold in groups of up to 2, 3, 6 and 9. This ensures that each booking does not need to share rows with other groups.
  • Where you are sat opposite another group there will be a face-to-face distance of at least 1.5 metres.
  • Where you are back-to-back with another group there will be a perspex screen between you (until social distancing requirements are lifted).
  • From May 17th you are not required to socially distance from close family and friends. If you need to socially distance yourself from people within your group please ensure you let us know and we can advise on appropriate seating.
  • From June 21st it is planned that all social distancing measures will be removed.

COVID-19 and cancellations

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that their group meets all of the social distancing restrictions at the time of their booking.
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry if your group does not comply with social distancing guidelines.
  • If you or anyone in your household has COVID-19 symptoms or tests positive for COVID-19 do not join a Stride Walking or Punting tour. Instead contact the office asap to arrange a reschedule, credit note or refund. Ensure you have made contact with the office by 9 am on the day of your tour to be eligible for a refund).
