Introduction

Stride Cambridge operates Guided Walking Tours around the City Centre of Cambridge and Chauffeured Punting Tours departing from the City council Landing Stage on the Corner of Jesus Green (CB5 8AG).

Walking Meeting Point:

Our Walking tours start on the corner or rose Cresecent and Trinity Street (CB2 3LL). The meeting point is outside The Cambridge Gift Shop.

Trinity Street is part of the Central Cambridge Priority Area:

In central Cambridge, a pedestrian priority area operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and access is further restricted between 10am and 4pm Monday to Saturday. Between these hours there is no access for vehicles except for emergency vehicles or drivers who have been issued with an access permit.

Walking Tours:

Our walking tours last for 90 minutes and are based in and around the historic City Centre. Due to the historic nature of the city some pavements and walkways are uneven. Our city centre tour is wheelchair accessible.

We aim to provide a year-round service where feasible within the constraints of our environment. If you have any questions about accessibility, please phone us on 01223 778 558 or email us at [email protected]

Punting Location:

You can find our check-in desk and departure point on the boardwalk at the La Mimosa Landing Stage, just on the corner of Jesus Green. The meeting point is opposite to La Mimosa Restaurant (CB5 8AG).

The landing stage is a non-slip surface, there are five steps down to it from the wooden boardwalk.

Our location is approxiamtely 200m from the Quayside. There is access from the Quayside along a wooden boardwalk (200m) with non-slip covering and a handrail, and there is an alternative slihly longer hard paved route via Thompsons Lane. You can also access our departure point Jesus Green along tarmac pathways.

Once at the Landing Stage, there are five steps with a handrail down to the non-slip fibreglass mesh. Whilst loading and unloading customers, we pin our boats to the landing stage at the front and the back.

You can use wheelchairs and mobility aids until you reach the top of the steps. Unfortunately, you can not take them onto the punts as we have not the method with which to secure them, so you can store wheelchairs, mobility aids and pushchairs at our check-in desk (left at your own risk).

We aim to provide a year-round service where feasible within the constraints of our location.

If you require any further assistance, please do let our team know and we will be happy to help.

Conditions permitting, we are open from 9.30am daily, our last tour is dependant on sun set time.
