Who are we?

Stride Cambridge is an independent company that provides a friendly, fun, personalised service for walking tours in Cambridge. We deliver historical and informative walking tours to suit all ages. Our local Blue Badge walking tour guides will showcase the historical highlights of our beautiful city. All of our Blue Badge Guides have undergone an intensive one-year training course, accredited by the Institute of Tourist Guiding, so whether you are visiting for the day or are local to Cambridge and want to find out more, choosing Stride will ensure you will get the best tour there is to offer in this historic city.

Stride is a small company, owned by locals, who collectively have more than 40 years within the tourism industry. This provides a great deal of experience and a depth of knowledge of Cambridge, other local businesses and the secrets the city has to offer.

Our walking tours are highly recommended for all group sizes, from solo travellers to corporate groups, to friends & families or students new to the city, we will make sure your experiences leave you with a wealth of local knowledge about our inspirational ‘University Town’.

Founded in 1446 by King Henry the VI. King’s College Chapel is the largest and most impressive chapel of all the colleges of Cambridge University. It is also the largest stone-vaulted chapel in the world.

Dating back from 1130, the Round Church is the second oldest building in Cambridge. It’s official name is the Holy Sepulchre of Cambridge. Like this church, there are only 3 more still in use.

Pembroke College is the third-oldest college of Cambridge  University. And has the oldest Gatehouse in Cambridge, dating back from the 14th century. The clock tower in this picture, stands just outside Pembroke’s library.

This unique piece was created by an alumni of Corpus Christi College, John C Taylor. A clock with a Chronophage on top, which is consuming our time. The Corpus Clock is therefore a metaphor of the different ways we perceive time, allerting us to make the most out of it.

St. John’s College was founded in 1511. Today, this college is the second largest of the constituent Colleges of the University of Cambridge. This college has one of the most famous bridges of Cambridge, the Bridge of Sighs.

St. Bene’t’s Church dates back from the 1033. The tower of this Church is the oldest building of Cambridgeshire.

Trinity College is the wealthiest college in Cambridge, founded by Henry VIII towards the end of his life, who’s statue is over the Great Gate. Some renamed alumnis of this college were Ernest Rutherford, James Clerk Maxwell and Sir Isaac Newton.
